Our 2009 Season is about to start. Our first show will be at the Vancouver Waldorf School in North Vancouver.

From their promotional material, a brief note about the church:

The church was built in 1891 to serve as a mission church for the rural West End of the city. It was built in the style of the small English village church. The St. Barnabas bell came from the BC Penitentiary in 1894. The altar is the original parish altar discovered during the renovations under another altar built in the 1950’s. The well-known stained glass firm of Henry Bloomfield and Sons designed the altar windows in the Art Nouveau style.

All event’s proceeds go to St. Barnabas Place in New Westminster, BC

Queridos Venezolanos y Amigos en la lista,

En honor al Decimo aniversario del grupo musical navideño Venezolano “Los Parranderos” hemos decidido hacer una pequeña Fiesta Navideña para celebrar este logro.

Es por lo tanto un placer y un gusto el poder invitar a nuestra comunidad a celebrar estos “10 años de Parrandas” con nosotros.

Hora: 8:30 pm (Concierto de Los Parranderos empieza a las 9:00 pm – Baile hasta la 1:00am)
Costo: $10 por persona (hombres, mujeres y niños de 12 en adelante. Menores de 12 gratis).

El Plan:
Cantaremos aproximadamente una hora y luego bailaremos hasta la 1:00 am, cuando nos tenemos que ir de allí. El baile incluye Salsa, Merengue, y Gaitas (por supuesto).

Habrá algunos pasapalos solamente (quesos, salamis, vegetales y frutas), mas no ‘cena’ como tal. También tendremos una torta de cumpleaños para compartir con todos.

Habrá un ‘cash bar’ a partir de las 8:30 pm hasta las 12:30 am. Las bebidas cuestan $4.50 cada una (vinos, cervezas y licores) y corren por cuenta de cada quien.
